VIP pass Inside a wild place Chapter 3

Inside  the  hut  I saw white snakes, sloths, turtles, kangaroos and a bunch of smaller animals. As I  looked  around I saw this colorful monkey it was a mandrill monkey  I had seen one stuffed before in the monkey museum. Looking at him face to face was a different thing all together. He had a face so colorful you could not stop staring  and an expression on his face  that said  if I did not stop staring at him I might be in trouble. I asked the white haired creature how did you get all this stuff? I said it must have cost a fortune. He said with a smiqurking smile "I dont pay for anything" I thought wow, that it would be great for someone to be able to do this and not cost a thing. It would be like winning the lemur lottery. By the end of the tour of a few of the jungle buildings I could see why he got everything for free. I found myself scrolling through my mind wondering what could I do to be a part of this. I dont have much money, no  animal experience but this was so different and so out of place from the things I had seen before. I had to find a way to be needed here. Me and my wife Lavender had been building and repairing tree huts to make ends meet over the last few years. I said to myself ah  I have something that is valuable, something I could offer a place like this. My mind was racing  I was thinking I could build this for the otter I could build that for the bear, I could do things that I would have charged alot of bananas for to anybody else. For some reason I felt if I worked here it would be like they were paying me to be here even though I would have to work like a crazed monkey. That diden't bother me.  So Now I had the Idea of what I could offer this place, my services, but what did they need? That would be the next obstical.   I got luckey as I was walking past an opening in the trees, white beard as I now call the creature said someday if we could possibly ever afford it we would love to have a shelter built over there for an elephant nobody wants. It is such a shame she has no place to go I hear that the owner is treating the old girl very badly and she needs a home but we have no place to house her. I was thinking in my head I could build this. It is bigger then anything I had built before. I would figure it out. Then reality set in how could I do this I have a family and work and I would have to get Lavender to  agree to us building this massive elephant hut  FOR FREE. I told white beard that I may have an answer to his problems. He looked at me with the crazy blue eyes and said really which problem? He gave me a look like he was not sure if I was kidding or not but he was definitely all of a sudden much more interested in me then he had been the whole time I was there. I told him  I dont want to tell you anything I cant do. So I am not going to say anything now.   I will get back to you . White beard said I dont know what it is about you monkey but for some reason I believe you. And he smiled for the first time since I met him. His teeth were very long and large and I could see big gaps between them they almost startled me when I first got a look. I can see why he does not display them when he first meets you. With that smile he said I have people claim to help me all the time but then you never see them again. But you, he said you are different I believe what you say. So I left the animal compound. Later  as I was swinging from vine to vine on my way home I could not believe how I felt like I was going to be part of something huge. Something that mattered.  I kept swinging faster and faster I could not wait to tell Lavender what had happened today and how our life was about to change.
