VIP pass Inside a wild place Chapter 4

I was so excited I almost could not contain myself. I raced up my little short vine to the monkey nest. I swung open the door and screamed, "Lavender where are you?" She was on the other side of the nest putting on her make up. She came running out with half of her beautiful face made up and asked what's wrong. I said you are not going to believe what I set up today. Her eyes got a little larger then they already were and she asked me what did Iyou do? You must remember at this point in my life I was a struggling monkey. We had nothing bearly any bananas to eat. So I said I am going to build a building for an elephant. She asked an elephant? what elephant? You did not mention thay had an elephant at the jungle place.  I said they don't have an elephant. And I went on to explain how she needed our help badly. White beard, I said was telling me how she was so abused and if she did not have a place to call home she would be taken out in the jungle and killed because she was too old to work a full day anymore. As I told Lavender more, I saw her beautiful eyes begin to water and the end of her nose started to twitch. I know she felt the same as I did for the elephant. I could not imagine someone wanting to hurt her and throw her away it almost sounded unreal. So Lavender and I made a pact to help this white bearded man and the elephant at any cost. We sat down that night with some grapes trying to find a way to fund this project. Sure I could build it, I said but it would cost alot to have all the trees brought in. The leaves and branches for the roof plucked from the forest it was alot for a monkey to think about. I might have been showing a few signs of stress just then as Lavender ran her beautiful tail under my nose and said I know you can do it. I knew right then I could. That was all I needed was her support, all of a sudden I was a different monkey. I was unstoppable. My mind went all over the place. I said I have bananas coming from the tree house I was building. I had a couple of monkeys that owed me some grapes. A few more potential large vines to build but I was not sure if I would get all the work. I mean its a jungle out there. Every monkey for himself. Then Lavender came up with an incredible idea. So simple. But so complex. I cant believe she was just over there playing with her tail and she purrs out "Just charge more next time you look at a tree house to build she said jokingly. That way we will still keep our nest going and give you extra for the elephant thing.   Why had I not thought of this before.
